Junior League of Montgomery to host panel discussion on women’s mental health

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – May is Mental Health Awareness Month and the Junior League of Montgomery wants to make sure women in the River Region take care of themselves.

“Every Woman. All Things.” will take place on Thursday, May 7 at 5:30 p.m. at the Montgomery Country Club.

Organizers say the new initiative is dedicated to elevating the conversation around the mental load women carry and the challenges of navigating aging, caregiving, workplace demands and financial security.

Action 8’s Estee Morrison sat down with Junior League President Amerika Blair and Kandace Besteder, chairperson of the event, to learn more about it. You can watch that interview above.
