ALIEEP presents “The Blind + The Elephant”

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – A magical, circus-theme performance tells the story of a teacher who transforms into a charismatic Ringmaster and invites her students into a dazzling circus world after classroom discussions seem to lead to a dead end.

The Alabama International Education and Economic Partnership is presenting “The Blind and The Elephant” on Friday, April 8 at Troy University’s Davis Theatre in Montgomery. Shows that day are at 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

The production tells the story of how the students encounter performances that include dancers inspired by cultures from around the globe, a Chinese dragon and a real elephant. Each student sees something different, leading them to collectively realize the truth is bigger than any single point of view.

Action 8’s Estee Morrison sat down with Adrian Lee Bush, director and playwright, and Sara Hsieh, cast member,  to learn more about the production. You can watch that interview above.
