Troy Police Department Looking to Hire Correctional Officers to Help Move the City and Its Citizens forward

Troy is looking to add Correctional Officers to the police force who not only hope to protect and serve the city but also help inmates cope with what may be one of the worst days of their lives.

“So many times in law enforcement we feel like we have to match energy with energy and sometimes you do but not all the time. Sometimes you can just let people vent and they’ll bring it down”, says Captain Sanford Wingard.  Captain Wingard feels that Troy’s competitive pay, retirement benefits, insurance packages and overall work environment will attract those with patience for others and a willingness to serve.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or higher, undergo background checks and be willing to have social media screening. Once chosen, each candidate will also undertake a two week training course instructed by the Montgomery Sheriff Department at no expense. Interested candidates should visit  http://troypd.com/careers to apply.
