Man dies after being shot in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police have confirmed to Action 8 News that a man has died after being shot.

Montgomery police Lt. Tina McGriff told Action 8 News that the shooting happened at around 6:19PM last night in the 200 block of East Delano Avenue. That is near the intersection of Southmont Drive, between South Court Street and Norman Bridge Road.

McGriff said officers found a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he died.

No other information has been released.
