Montgomery police investigating shooting on South Burbank Drive

MONTGOMERY, Ala, (WAKA) – Montgomery police are investigating a shooting on South Burbank Drive that has left a man injured.

Montgomery police Lt. Tina McGriff said that just before 2AM today, units were on patrol when they made contact with the man. They have determined that he was shot in the 100 block of South Burbank Drive, which is near the Atlanta Highway intersection.

McGriff says the man was taken to a hospital for treatment of what is believed to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

No other information has been released.
