WATCH: Severe storm moves through Pike Road

PIKE ROAD, Ala. (WAKA) – Action 8 News has video and photos from Pike Road as the severe storms pushed through with heavy rain, high winds and hail this afternoon.

The video is from The Waters, off Marler Road. You can see how hard the rain was falling as the winds blew small parts of trees down to the ground. Thanks to Action 8 News viewer Leigh Wiatt for sending the video to us.

The photos show hail falling in and near the Stone Park neighborhood, just off Interstate 85 at Exit 16. The heavy rain caused some ponding of water in yards.
