Selma Police Help Arrest Shooting Suspect
Selma police say they, along with the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Task Force, arrested shooting suspect Antonio Whatley.
Police say Whatley was wanted in connection with a shooting that happened on December 30, when a male was shot in the back in the 2100 Block of Church Street.
Police say when Whatley was apprehended, he was in the company of two women who have been charged with hindering prosecution in the 1st degree by harboring a fugitive. Police identify those women as Lamonica Ann Gill, 18, and Brandi Sneed, 19, both of Selma.
Whatley is charged with attempted murder and is being held without bond. The women are each being held on $50,000 bond, according to Selma police.
