Suspect Wanted in December Shooting in Selma Apprehended

Selma Police have informed Alabama News Network that a suspect wanted in December 2015 shooting has been arrested.
Antonio Whatley was taken into custody by the US Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Task Force along with members of the Selma Police Department. He has now been charged with Attempted Murder and given no bond.
His charges stem from a shooting on December 30th, where a black male was shot in the back in the 2100 block of Church Street in Selma. Clarence Brenson was also charged in this shooting earlier this month.
Whatley was with two women at the time of his arrest. They have been identified as Lamonica Gill, 18, and Brani Sneed, 19. The two have been charged with Hindering Prosecution 1st Degree- Harboring a Fugitive. Both are being held under $50,000 bonds.
