Camden woman killed in Wilcox County crash

WILCOX COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – A Camden woman has been killed in a two-vehicle crash in Wilcox County.

Alabama State Troopers say 47-year-old Karen Scarbrough was driving a vehicle that was hit by a car driven by 39-year-old Tiffany Burrell of Catherine. Investigators say Scarbrough wasn’t using a seat belt, was thrown out of the wreckage and died at the scene.

Burrell was injured and taken to J Paul Jones Hospital in Camden for treatment.

State troopers say the wreck happened just after 7AM today on Alabama Highway 28, about two miles north of Catherine.
