Man faces cocaine trafficking charge in Tallapoosa County

TALLAPOOSA COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – A man has been arrested in Dadeville on a charge of trafficking cocaine.

The Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Office says 36-year-old Marshall Pope of Atlanta, Georgia, was arrested on Tuesday, May 5, after a traffic stop. They say a deputy stopped a car and developed probable cause to search it.

The sheriff’s office says deputies found about 2.5 ounces of cocaine, 27 ounces of marijuana and $387 in cash.

Pope is charged with cocaine trafficking, marijuana possession and resisting arrest.
