25th Annual “Drive Fore Meals On Wheels” golf tournament held in Montgomery
PRATTVILLE, Ala. (WAKA) – The 25th Annual “Drive Fore Meals On Wheels” Montgomery Golf Classic tournament was held yesterday at the Robert Trent Jones golf course in Prattville.
A total of 32 teams competed throughout the morning, before the storms rolled into the area.
All money raised will fund Meals on Wheels Montgomery, so it can keep supporting Alabamians facing food insecurity.
“It’s really huge, and the fact that it is 25 years, which is really a long time, one of the longest nonprofit golf tournaments in Montgomery, which is fantastic,” Montgomery Meals on Wheels CEO Chris Turman told Action 8 News.
Since 1972, Meals on Wheels Montgomery has delivered more than five million meals to those in need.
