A Brief Opportunity To Dry Out
We’re now on the backside of frontal passage. This will give us a brief opportunity to dry out. The next round of rain will be moving into the area Friday and there’s more ahead over the upcoming weekend. We could be looking at an additional 1 to 2 inches of rainfall.
In the meantime, we expect a mostly cloudy sky with temps in the mid to upper 50s overnight. Friday is looking partly sunny with showers moving into the area during the late afternoon hours. Temps will manage the mid 70s for highs.
The next round of rain works into the area early Saturday. There will be some thunderstorms accompanying this round. Some storms could become strong to severe. The main threats will be damaging wind gust and hail. Temps should top out in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees Saturday afternoon.
Another frontal boundary will be to our north Sunday. Out ahead of the boundary will be a moist air mass and that will support additional showers and t-storms around here. Temps will warm and lower 80s are likely for afternoon high temps.
High pressure will build in behind the frontal passage on Monday. Our sky becomes sunny and we’re drying out for several days. Temps will be warming and reaching the lower to mid 80s for highs throughout the week.
