A Quieter Weather Pattern This Week

We’re heading into a quieter weather pattern this week.  Rain chances will be rather slim throughout the week and upcoming weekend.  Temps stay in check through midweek but there’s a summer-like warm up coming late in the weekend into early next week.

For now, clouds will linger for most areas tonight.  A disturbance passing to our south will help generate a few showers across our southern counties overnight into early Tuesday.  Temps will drop into the lower 60s for lows.   The clouds may be a little slow to depart Tuesday morning.  Temps will be slower to climb underneath the cloud deck.  We’re expecting upper 70s for highs.

A weak frontal system will make its way across the state Wednesday.  There won’t be much moisture to work with, so rain chances will be small.   High pressure will build in behind the frontal passage.  This will lead to abundant sunshine through the latter half of the week. Temps will climb into the lower 80s for highs.

We expect the sunshine and dry conditions to continue into the upcoming weekend. Temps will respond and it’s looking like upper 80s for highs.  We could even be nudging the 90 degree mark in a few spots early next week.
