PHOTOS: Vandals strike Pratt Park restroom facilities in Prattville
PRATTVILLE, Ala. (WAKA) – Vandals have damaged the restroom facilities at Pratt Park in Prattville.
The city’s Parks and Recreation Department says the vandals struck on Sunday, May 10, at the restroom facilities near the splash pad.
The department says while there are cameras throughout the park system, it is illegal for cameras to be placed inside restrooms. It says that thanks to help from the public, it has used the cameras elsewhere at Pratt Park to capture video of potential suspects.
The department says video, information and evidence have been turned over to the Prattville Police Department for further investigation.
The department says it has seen several online comments from people saying they saw the damage. The department strongly encourages anyone who sees suspicious behavior, vandalism or ongoing issues in our parks to notify the Parks and Recreation Department immediately.
