Body of missing person on Lake Martin recovered
TALLAPOOSA COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA Action 8 News) –
Troopers with ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division are investigating an apparent drowning on Lake Martin.
ALEA tells Action 8 that troopers responded to Chimney Rock on Lake Martin about the report of a person that was in the water and did not resurface.
Montgomery Fire Rescue says divers helped perform systematic search operations. After several hours in the water, the missing person was found. The person’s identity has not been released.
ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division, Montgomery Fire/ Rescue, the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office, Delta Division Dive Team, ALEA, Montgomery EMA, and Elmore EMA all helped in the efforts.
