Montgomery summer camp introduces students to drone technology and AI
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) — Parents looking for a technology-focused summer activity for their children can now register for the NEXTGEN STEM: Drone, Media & A.I. Enrichment Camp scheduled for June 1-5 in Montgomery.
The camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fresh Anointing House of Worship, located at 6000 Monticello Drive.
Organizers said the weeklong program will give students hands-on experience in drone technology, digital media production and artificial intelligence through interactive activities and projects.
During an interview with Action 8’s Estee Morrison, Dr. Juanita Barnett and Marian Hollis discussed the camp and its focus on innovation, creativity and STEM education.
Students attending the camp will learn how drones operate, create digital media content and explore how artificial intelligence is shaping the future. The camp is designed to help students build technical skills, confidence and creativity in an engaging learning environment.
The camp has 30 available slots. Lunch and snacks will be provided for participants.
