Pay It Forward: Robert Moncrief of Wetumpka
Elmore County, Ala. (WAKA) – Robert Moncrief of Wetumpka is a man of very little words but a whole lot of love. He treats everyone like family, including students, faculty and everyone else in need.
Moncrief is a school resource officer at Elmore county high school. We’re told Moncrief goes out of way to help anyone in need, whether he is on duty or off.
“He does so much for the school, for the community, for the kids,” says Angela Rigsby, who nominated Robert. “They just look up to him. He has such a good rapport with them. He does things behind the scenes that people don’t know about. We won’t disclose those but he does a lot for these kids and they just love him.”
Moncrief has a great relationship with those he works with, and students know they can count on him.
“They have their homecoming dress up days, I’ll dress up for them, the different things that they do, stuff like that,” says Moncrief. “If they have a problem in the parking lot with vehicles, ill go out and help them with that. Just what ever they need.”
That’s why Stewart Vance with the Vance Law Firm is paying it forward to him.
Robert is also a volunteer with his local fire department and helps out at the Santuck Flea Market every month. When asked if he realizes just how much of an impact he makes, he says he does it because he wants to.
“I just like doing it.”
As far as what he plans to do with his $333, he has a good idea in mind.
“Use it to recover from last week’s trip to Disney,” he says.
