Hot, humid, afternoon/evening rain/storms through Memorial Day
Wednesday morning was mainly dry, but warm and humid with temperatures surging into the mid and upper 80s by midday. Isolated showers formed just after midday across the southeast corner of Alabama. Rain coverage increases through the afternoon, with showers and storms lingering Wednesday evening before ultimately fading away Wednesday night. Wednesday night remains partly to mostly cloudy, warm and humid, with lows in the upper 60s to low 70s.
Thursday and Friday follow a similar weather pattern. Each morning looks mainly dry with a mix of sun and clouds and warming temperatures. Showers and storms become widely scattered both afternoons. While some locations receive a cooling downpour, others remain dry Thursday and Friday. Before cooling rain arrives, temperatures approach 90° with a partly cloudy sky.
The summer-like weather pattern continues Memorial day weekend. Showers and storms become widely scattered each afternoon.
