CONSUMER ALERT Ford

8 ON YOUR SIDE CONSUMER ALERT (WAKA) – Hyundai is recalling more than 421,000 vehicles because they could brake without warning.

The problem involves software with the front safety cameras, which can activate the brakes and increase the risk of a crash. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it’s received reports of four crashes and four injuries.

The recall involves 2025-2026 Hyundai Santa Cruz, Tucson, Tucson hybrid and Tucson plug-in hybrid models. Some of these vehicles are assembled at the Hyundai plant in Montgomery.

Owners will be notified in mid-July and can take their vehicles to a dealer to receive a free software update.
