Man killed, another injured in Tallassee shooting

TALLASSEE, Ala. (WAKA) – Tallassee police are investigating a weekend shooting that left one man dead and another injured.

It happened Saturday in the 200 block of Gilmer Avenue.

Tallassee Police Chief Todd Buce tells Action 8 News that two victims were taken to Tallassee Community Hospital by private vehicle.

One of the victims, 33-year-old Ronderious Hooks, died from his injuries.

The second victim was later treated and released at a Montgomery hospital.

No word on any suspects at this time.
