City of Georgiana Welcomes New Busy Ant Supermarket
After closing in late 2025 and spending months with no grocery store, the City of Georgiana has welcomed the re-opening of a newly-renovated grocery store.
The Busy Ant has officially opened its doors in Georgiana to residents ready to shop. Previously known as Food Giant the store has a new name offering the same service. The Patel family has invested and renovated the store hoping to see the supermarket boost to the community outside of sales.
Featuring a hot food deli, fresh dairy, meats and package store adding jobs and economic growth.
The Busy Ant is the second commitment in a more than $11 million dollar investment made by the Patel family to the city of Georgiana, enabling residents to keep their tax dollars within Georgiana.
