Scattered showers, storms Tuesday; Dry, less humidity Wednesday

Some rain and occasional thunder was moving across the northeast part of our area Tuesday morning into the early afternoon. Elsewhere, it was dry with sunshine in southwest Alabama, resulting in temperatures in the mid 80s by midday. Temperatures may warm to near 90° in rain-free locations. However, showers and storms become scattered about Tuesday afternoon, and linger into the evening.

A few strong storms may occur in far southeast Alabama, capable of a damaging wind gust or two. The storm prediction center places a marginal (level 1/5) severe risk across a some of our southeast communities, including Andalusia, Opp, Brantley, Luverne, Troy, and Union Springs. Rain gradually fades away Tuesday night, while the sky becomes partly cloudy, and temperatures cool into the 60s.
