Prattville police respond to a possible drowning

PRATTVILLE, Ala. (WAKA) – Prattville police responded to a call late Wednesday on a possible drowning.

Police Chief Mark Thompson tells Action 8 News that officers were called around 10:32 p.m. to a home on Simmons Road.

Once officers arrived, they located a 16-year-old female.

Chief Thompson said CPR was administered on the scene and the girl was taken to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham by LifeFlight.

Thompson said they are waiting to get an update on her condition, but she was breathing when she was transported to the hospital.

Police do not suspect any foul play in the incident.
