The Georgiana School Key Club Working to Enhance Student’s Success

With the leadership of advisor Rae Longmire Georgiana School Key Club members have the opportunity to participate in a three part summer enrichment series designed to further their success.

Students learned which responses are or are not considered professional through interactive activities such as acting out inappropriate responses to future bosses, leaders and parents, sorting email examples that are both appropriate and respectful from those that are not and interview tactics.

They also heard directly from professionals, including Action 8 News Teresa Lawson and others who taught about the dangers of posting negative items to social media, the importance of professionalism and how to use the correct tone, timing and body language to encourage positive communication.

“Today I learned about using body language, says Key Club member, Jakiriya Morga, how to respond to certain things having a good attitude and just stuff that you learn in the real world.

The Georgiana Key Club will continue with two additional enrichment series throughout the month of June.
