A Period Of Dangerous Heat Ahead
We’re heading straight into a hot and humid weather pattern! The outlook is for another stretch of 90+ degree temps with heat indices reaching 100 to 105. Rain chances will be slim through the hot and humid period.
In the meantime, scattered showers and t-storms will work through the area this evening. We expect a brief gust of wind along with a brief downpour for some. The overnight period is looking mostly clear with temps falling into the lower 70s for lows.
Friday will look familiar with a partly to mostly sunny sky. There will be scattered showers and t-storms possible during the afternoon hours. Temps will manage to reach the lower 90s for highs but it will feel more upper 90s when you factor in the heat index.
The upcoming weekend is setting up to be rather hot and humid with little if any rainfall potential. Temps will manage to reach the lower to mid 90s for highs. You factor in the humidity and it will feel more like 100 to 102.  The established hot and humid weather pattern will continue into the following work week. We expect the heat to continue building and heat indices will range between 100 to 105. That’s getting into the danger category and you should consider slowing down and taking it easy. We suggest you limit time in direct sunlight and stay well hydrated.
