ACTION 8 UPDATE: Man arrested in deadly West Montgomery shooting

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police have made an arrest in a West Montgomery shooting that left one and another injured.

It happened around 7:52 p.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of Westcott Street.

Once officers arrived, they located an adult male with fatal injuries from a gunshot wound. The unidentified male victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police also located an adult female with non-life threatening injuries from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Officers have arrested and charged 33-year-old Devonte Holloway with Capital Murder and First Degree Assault.

Holloway is currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
