8 ON YOUR SIDE CONSUMER ALERT: Hyundai recalls 96,000 SUVs

8 ON YOUR SIDE CONSUMER ALERT (WAKA) – Hyundai is recalling more than 96,000 SUVS that were built at its assembly plant in Montgomery.

The recall involves 2025-2026 Hyundai Tucson SUVs, including hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions.

The digital instrument panel display may go blank, which could increase the chance for a crash.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the instrument panel may intermittently reboot while the vehicle is running.

The NHTSA says there have been no confirmed reports of any crashes due to the issue.

Owners will be notified by mail in late August. The software for the panel display will be updated at the dealer or over-the-air for free.
