Pay It Forward: Nottia Johnson of Elmore County

Nottia Johnson works in Elmore County at the Elmore County Community Action. There, she helps clients find resources they need, and she does it all with a lot of care for her community.

During the recent government shutdown, we’re told she didn’t even know if she’d have a job. But was still more worried about her clients.

“She still had a heart for people,” says Charlotte Crawford, who nominated Nottia. “And that really touched me because she was still concerned about the people in Elmore County. She kept telling me ‘I don’t know what’s going to happen, we’re losing funding and we have so many people that need help. And that’s what really touched my heart.”

Johnson is described as an encourager and helps keep her coworkers going. She says she enjoys helping others get on a better path

“So whatever the conversation is about, whenever I start to hear it, my mind goes and I just try to see the best way to get what they need to get,” says Johnson.

While that may be her job, her coworkers say she goes above and beyond her normal duties. And that is why Stewart Vance is paying it forward to her.

Those that know her say the world needs more like her : who have heart for others.

“As long as everyone is still mobile and they can actually benefit and do what they need to do in life, a helping hand is always good,” says Johnson.

Thank you, Nottia, for all you do to Pay It Forward!
