Montgomery police charge man with attempted murder in Wynlakes

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – A man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting in Montgomery.

Montgomery police say 65-year-old Lynwood O’Mary has been charged in the shooting, which left a man injured.

Police were called to the 9400 block of Dunleith, which is in Wynlakes, just before midnight last night, where they found the victim with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Officers identified and arrested O’Mary while still at the scene. He was booked into the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
