Deatsville man arrested for possession of child pornography

MILLBROOK, Ala. (WAKA) – A Deatsville man has been arrested in Millbrook for possession of child pornography.
Millbrook Police Chief P.K. Johnson said his department received a series of cyber tips from National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning expected Child Sexual Abuse Material.
On July 1, Millbrook detectives were able to locate and interview the suspect, later identified as 20-year-old La Jarvis Chaney, of Deatsville, who admitted to possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material on his cellular phone.
Chaney was taken into custody and charged with five counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.
He is currently in the Elmore County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
