Montgomery firefighters called to house fire

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery firefighters have battled a fire at a home just off E.D. Nixon Avenue.

The fire was reported at a single-story home on Flood Street. When firefighters arrived, flames could be seen from the attic.

Once the bulk of the fire was extinguished, crews completed a thorough overhaul, eliminating remaining hot spots.

No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
