Body named SWAC Preseason POTY

Alabama State Quarterback Andrew Body has been named the SWAC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. In addition to his POTY honor, Body was also a preseason first-team selection.

Last season, Body helped Alabama State to its first ten-win season in 21 years and was also named the SWAC Offensive Player of the Year.

Along with Body, four other Hornets were named to the SWAC Preseason first-team, including Elijah Baker (OL), Micael Joiner (DL), Ta’Shaun Sims (S), and Nehemiah Hixon (RS).

Earning Preseason second-team honors from ASU are Jamarie Hostzclaw, Dezmond Penn, Andrew Abu-Akel, and Garrett Wilemon.
