Suspect charged in deadly quadruple shooting
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police have charged a 19-year-old in connection to a deadly quadruple shooting that happened in June.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. on June 20 in the 1300 block of Eastern Boulevard.
Once officers arrived, they found 18-year-old Sa’Vion Gilchrist with a fatal gunshot wound.
A second victim, 20-year-old Demarion Calhoun, was located in the 5600 block of Carmichael Road with a fatal gunshot wound.
Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene.
Shortly thereafter, police were notified of two additional victims associated with this incident who had self-reported to local area hospitals.
Montgomery police have charged Dantrail Ladarrious Jones, of Montgomery, with Capital Murder and two counts of 1st degree Assault.
Jones was taken into custody by the United States Marshals Task Force on July 9 and placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
This is the 22nd and 23rd homicides of 2026.
