Montgomery man charged with receiving stolen property after brief pursuit

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – A Montgomery man is now in custody after leading officers in a brief pursuit.

It happened around 7:25 p.m. Thursday in the 4000 block of Rosa L. Parks Avenue.

Officers were called to the area in regards to a vehicles racing. Once they arrived, they located a stolen car and attempted to pull the driver over.

The driver refused to stop and a brief vehicle pursuit ensured.

Officers were able to eventually arrest 18-year-old Quintin Tyus and charge him with Receiving Stolen Property 1st.

He’s currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on a $15,000 bond.
