Fire destroys vacant building in West Montgomery
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery firefighters spent the evening battling a fire in West Montgomery.
It happened around 6:46 p.m. Friday in the 1600 block of Mobile Road.
Once firefighters arrived, they found a vacant single-story building fully enguled in flames.
The fire was quickly brought under control. Fire officials say no interior operations were conducted due to concerns about the building’s structural integrity.
No injuries were reported among civilians or fire personnel.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
