From the West Alabama Newsroom–

A shooting Saturday night in Dallas County leaves one man behind bars — and another man in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Waka Dcshooting0720 VoSheriff Mike Granthum says 50 year old Kevin Leon Coleman opened fire at his birthday party at one of the guests.

Granthum says the shooting happened after Coleman became angry — about 51 year old Tommy Lee Geter — teaching his wife how to do a line dance.

“Witnesses said a verbal altercation broke out and he wasn’t happy with the way he was teaching his wife how to dance. Supposedly he went back inside, grabbed his weapon, fired a single shot, struck the subject in the chest,” said Granthum.

Coleman is facing gun and drug charges — in addition to attempted murder.
