SEC Media Days: Arkansas hopes to avoid being the conference doormat in 2026
TAMPA, Fla. (WAKA) – Action 8 Lace Up Sports is in Tampa, Florida, for SEC Media Days, where Arkansas knows there is nowhere to go but up from last year, but the question is if they can do it.
The Razorbacks finished 2025 at 2-10, and 0-8 in the SEC. To improve, new head coach Ryan Silverfield may look to quarterback KJ Jackson. Jackson played at St. James School in Montgomery before signing with Arkansas, where he played in one game in 2024 and in five last season. However, Silverfield hasn’t decided whether Jackson will be the starter or whether it will be AJ Hill.
Action 8 Sports Analyst John Longshore says Arkansas faces a total rebuild in order to return to being competitive. The team hasn’t had a double-digit winning season since 2011.
