The Heat Backs Off For A Few Days

It’s looking like a fairly quiet week of weather around here.  Rain chances will be rather low but those isolated showers and t-storms can’t be ruled out each afternoon.  Temps will hover around 90 through mid week but the heat does ramp up a bit late week.

In the meantime,  we expect a mostly clear sky with temps falling into the lower 70s overnight.  Tuesday begins with a partly cloudy sky and temps in the lower 70s.  We’re still under the influence of low pressure just to our east.  This system will continue to help generate those afternoon showers.  There will also be more clouds and a northwest wind helping to keep the heat in check.  Some areas may only see temps reaching the upper 80s for highs.

The latter half of the week is looking typical for early August.  We will maintain that chance for a shower or t-storm each afternoon.  Temps will begin reaching the lower to mid 90s for highs.   High pressure will move over the area and help keep weather conditions from changing very much from day to day.
