Mid-90° heat, limited rain chances through Friday and this weekend
It was already very hot at midday Tuesday with temperatures in the low 90s and heat indices near or over 100°. Tuesday afternoon remains very hot with high temperatures in the mid 90s and higher heat indices. Only isolated showers or storms appear possible through Tuesday evening. Tuesday night becomes mainly dry with a partly cloudy sky and low temperatures in the mid 70s.
Central and south Alabama remains very hot for the rest of the week. High temperatures remain in the mid 90s through Friday. Meanwhile, heat indices may peak near or over 105°. A heat advisory includes the northwest part of our area from 1PM to 9PM Wednesday. Heat advisories may eventually be issued for the rest of the week and include more or all of our area. Otherwise, afternoon shower/storm coverage remains isolated through Friday.
