Heat advisory through at least Saturday, rain coverage remains low

A very hot weather pattern continues for the foreseeable future across central and south Alabama. A heat advisory continues through at least Friday for southwest Alabama, and at least Saturday for central Alabama. High temperatures range from the mid to upper 90s while heat indices likely range from 105-110° for much of each afternoon. Meanwhile, rain coverage remains limited for the rest of the week, and likely this weekend.

Heat Advisory

Otherwise, each day through Sunday looks partly cloudy with afternoon/evening showers or storms. We may see heat advisories extended into next week, as high temperatures likely remain in the upper 90s for at least Monday and Tuesday. Longer-range models still suggest a cold front approaches the southeast next Tuesday/Wednesday. The front likely stalls and fizzles out, but increases rain coverage Tuesday and Wednesday.
