MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – A former ADOC inmate has been arrested in connection to a contraband investigation at Fountain Correctional Facility.

Agents with the ADOC Narcotics Unit, K-9 Division, the Law Enforcement Services Division and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at a home in the 8300 block of Fairhaven Lane in Montgomery.

ADOC officials say the investigations stemmed from an arrest made several weeks ago involving contraband believed to be intended for Fountain Correction Facility.

The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 19 pounds of marijuana and $30,000 in cash.

ADOC officials say Patrick O’Neal Perry was taken into custody without incident and charged with Trafficking Marijuana.

Perry was taken to the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
