Man dies of stab wounds in Montgomery; suspect arrested
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – A man has died after being stabbed in Montgomery. Police have arrested a suspect.
Police say just before 2:15AM today, they were called to an area around Taft and Erskine streets. That is just off West Fairview Avenue not far from Interstate 65.
That’s where they found the body of 33-year-old Deandre Moore, who had been stabbed several times.
Police arrested 26-year-old Elgin Rogers, III, in the 700 block of Clarke Street, which is a couple of blocks away, and charged him with murder.
This is the 33rd murder case of the year in Montgomery.
