Selma man charged with fatal shooting in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police say a Selma man has been charged in a fatal shooting that happened in Montgomery last month.

Police say 21-year-old Aljermaine Aaron is charged with murder and attempted murder in the killing of 25-year-old Malcom Davis of Montgomery.

Shortly after 2:30AM on Sunday, July 19, police were called to investigate a fight in the 3600 block of Debby Drive, which is off McGehee Road. When they arrived, they found Davis with fatal gunshot wounds.

Today, Aaron was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and taken to the Montgomery Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. He was later placed in the Montgomery County Jail.

Police say no further details are available at this time.
