Two killed in fiery wreck on Interstate 85 in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Two people have been killed and another injured in a fiery two-vehicle crash on Interstate 85 in Montgomery.

Montgomery police Lt. Tina McGriff told Action 8 News that the wreck happened at about 2:15 yesterday morning on the southbound side between the Mitylene and Taylor Road exits.

One vehicle was on fire when officers arrived. Both drivers died at the scene. A passenger in one of the vehicles suffered serious but non-life-threatening injures and was taken to a hospital for emergency treatment, McGriff said. No names have been released.
