A few severe storms possible Monday, seasonable heat this week

A severe thunderstorm watch continues until 7PM Monday for southwest Alabama, including Butler, Crenshaw, and Covington counties in our area. At least a few storms may become severe, capable of scattered damaging wind gusts up to 65 mph. However, rain coverage may be somewhat limited across our area as a whole Monday, with widely scattered showers and storms affecting areas mainly along and southwest of highway 82.

Otherwise, Monday afternoon looks partly cloudy with highs in the low to mid 90s. Some showers or storms linger into Monday evening, but fade away Monday night. The sky becomes partly cloudy with lows in the low to mid 70s.
