Man charged with possession of child sex abuse material
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged a man for having child sex abuse material.
Asst. Chief Deputy Wesley Richerson says 40-year-old Gustavo Gatica-Ramirez was taken into custody and charged with18 felony counts of Possession with Intent to Disseminate Child Sexual Abuse Material.
The MCSO Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit initiated the investigation after receiving information of suspected illegal images involving children from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency ICAC Task Force.

Our investigators will continue to work diligently to identify offenders, collect evidence, and hold those responsible accountable.” “We encourage all parents to remain vigilant regarding their children’s online activity and to report suspected exploitation or inappropriate contact involving minors to law enforcement.” Asst. Gatica-Ramirez is currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on a $540,000 bond.
