Man charged with string of burglaries at downtown Montgomery businesses
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police have charged a man with a series of burglaries at downtown businesses.
Police say 59-year-old Al-Qadeer Hamlet is charged with three counts of burglary in the third degree.
Police believe he forced his way into two businesses in the 400 block of Bibb Street and one business in the 100 block of Lee Street. They say evidence collected at each location identified Hamlet as the person responsible for all three incidents.
Police say additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.
