Weekend heat, isolated storms; Hotter, low rain chances next week
Friday was seasonably hot for the most part across central and south Alabama. Some showers and storms cooled part of our area down during the afternoon. However, our area was mainly dry by 7PM Friday. The showers/storms formed along a stalling frontal boundary. The front brought drier air to northern Alabama Friday, but looks like our area remains somewhat hot and humid this weekend. Friday night becomes partly cloudy with lows in the low 70s.
Truly cooler or drier air looks unlikely this far south from the mentioned front. However, rain chances look low Saturday and Sunday for our area, with just isolated afternoon/evening showers/storms. Meanwhile, temperatures remain seasonably hot, with high temperatures in the low 90s both days. Our weather pattern remains relatively unchanged next week, but temperatures trend hotter, into the mid 90s as September begins.
