8 ON YOUR SIDE CONSUMER ALERT: Ford recalls nearly 150,000 Mustangs
8 ON YOUR SIDE CONSUMER ALERT (WAKA) – Ford is recalling nearly 150,000 Mustangs because they could lose power.
The recall affects 2024-2026 models.
Besides a loss of power, the cars could have issues with the windshield washers, air conditioning, headlights or engine cooling fan.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says there appears to be an issue with the wiring harness ground connections, which could fracture.
Dealers will replace the engine compartment wiring harness ground terminals for free.
Letters were scheduled to be sent to owners on August 31. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in March 2027, the NHTSA says.
Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford’s number for this recall is 26C40.
