Woman injured in shooting near Wares Ferry Road in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – A woman has been injured in a shooting just off Wares Ferry Road in Montgomery.

Montgomery police Lt. Tina McGriff told Action 8 News the shooting happened just before 4:30AM yesterday in the 4700 block of Retreat Road, which is off Wares Ferry Road not far from Alabama Christian Academy.

Police say when they arrived, they found the women with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.

No other information has been released.
